Our schedule is finally ready! PLEASE LOOK OVER THIS AS A FAMILY VERY CAREFULLY to ensure you know when you will be missing class, when you need to bring a bag lunch, when you need to arrive at school early, etc.! (Please treat the Wednesday and Thursday schedules during the school day as tentative, as we are still awaiting final approval from administration on this.) If you have any questions or concerns at all, don’t hesitate to shoot me an e-mail or see one of us after rehearsal.
Also don’t forget to bring in all your costumes tomorrow to leave in the dressing room.
Tech week…here we go!!
We are still finalizing the tech week schedule with Ms. Miller, so the detailed schedule (including rehearsals during the school day) will be released as soon as possible. For now, I can give everyone the after-school schedule:
Monday 2/27: ALL CAST, Stage crew, Props crew
Tuesday 2/28: ALL CAST, Stage crew, Props crew, Sound crew, Lights crew
Wednesday 3/1: ALL CAST & CREW
We’re trying to be as judicial as possible with this schedule, especially when it comes to pulling students out of class, and this takes a long time to perfect. Thanks to everyone for your patience and support!
Practice these signs this weekend!!!
Hello TBL families,
Our premiere is less than a week away!! Tech week and performances are always a VERY busy time for the production team, cast, and crew, and a successful show would not be possible without the amazing volunteers we are lucky enough to have every year. We have many opportunities for parents and families to lend a hand to our production, including:
- Final stages of set construction and painting
- Backstage assistance and supervision
- Hair/makeup station supervision
- Ticket sales
- Reserved seating/ushering
- Show breakdown and cleanup
Detailed descriptions of each role are listed on the website. We need volunteers during tech week, at our dress rehearsals during and after school, at our in-school and public performances, and after our final performance. Please consider donating your invaluable time or skills to our production, and check back periodically for possible additional volunteer opportunities. Thank you in advance – we truly couldn’t do it without YOU!
Just to make sure the students are on the right track and to offer any assistance if needed, we’d like to see a picture of what you’ve come up with for your costume(s)! Please send a picture of your costume to Katy (email@example.com) AND Ms. Lambert (firstname.lastname@example.org) as soon as possible for approval. All costumes should be finalized and brought to school no later than Monday, February 27th.
Does anyone happen to own a toy piano that we can use for our production? Something like the pictures below would work. Thanks in advance!
FOR ATTIC KIDS ONLY: Families should review this packet (as well as the costume guide for musical numbers) together as soon as possible! All students in the “Attic Kids” group will need a costume specific to the decade they’re representing in each of their scenes. (Students’ names are indicated under their particular decade.) Please don’t feel like you have to spend a lot of money on these costumes – we strongly encourage you to use old clothes or costumes you already have at home or to buy them at the thrift store. We realize many students are in the “Attic Kids” group as well as other numbers, so if you are having trouble finding all the right costume pieces within your budget or the short time frame, please don’t hesitate to reach out to one of the production team for assistance. We would like all students to have their costumes ready by Monday, February 27th.
The ALL CAST Costume Guide is ready! Families should review this packet together as soon as possible! ALL performers will need a few different costumes for the show, and this will be different for each students depending on which specific numbers they are included in. (All “Attic Kids” should review the Attic Kids costume guide as well.) If you or your student are not sure which numbers they are performing in, please see Ms. Schmidt as soon as possible.
